Five years ago I said "I love you."
Four and a half years ago I stepped off a train into your arms.
Four years ago I said "I do." [1]
Three and a half years ago, our daughter was born. [2]
Three years ago...something *must* have happened.
Two years ago, we were in the midst of a year from hell.
Last year, we had just moved out of your parents' basement.
And tomorrow we leave for two weeks in California.
Thank you love, for not giving up when things were awful, and for not just coasting when things were good. Thank you for being a true *partner*, not just someone else living in the house. Thank you for always encouraging me and for not letting me push myself into illness and madness. Thank you for being an amazing father to our kid. Thank you for cherishing me and what we have.
I love you. No matter what.
